UHN Summer Seminar Series - UHN Trainees Welcome
July 27 - 29 | 10:00 - 1:00 PM

UHN is hosting a Summer Seminar Series for high school students (grades 9-12) from underrepresented and racialized backgrounds. Many thanks to all the trainees and staff that are contributing to the program through research talks, panels and activities.

All UHN trainees are welcome to join and observe the seminar series to:

  • Learn about research happening at UHN including talks on cancer, neuroscience, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Explore careers in healthcare and research including doctors, scientists, clinical research coordinators, lab technicians and more.
  • Observe interactive activities on machine learning, innovation and science communication.

Postdoc Appreciation Week Survey


The ORT and the ORT Leadership Committee are planning a series of events from September 20-24th to celebrate Postdoc Appreciation Week. 

One of the events will be a Peer-to-Peer orientation where current trainees will share information on research at UHN with new postdocs and graduate students. Please fill out this quick survey to help us determine which topics you would like covered!

TREnD is a student-led and trainee-focused symposium which, in past years, has brought together over 200 RNA biologists from across Canada and the US. Join for a keynote talk by Dr. Rachel Green from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a "Lunch"-and-Learn workshop led by Shiz Aoki, CEO and co-founder of BioRender.

Congratulations to Ryder Whittaker-Hawkins, doctoral student in the Rottapel lab, for winning the 1st place Podium prize at the Annual Ogryzlo Research Day held virtually by the University of Toronto. The day highlights new and innovative research from the rheumatology field.
