Best Practice in Education Rounds: Dilemmas of Representation- Patient Engagement in HPE

In these rounds, Paula Rowland, Scientist at the Wilson Centre, MD Education, and the Institute for Education Research at UHN, will shed new light on the dilemma of representation. She will argue for an understanding of representation that is not only inclusive of who is being represented but also carefully considers what is being represented, how and why. This free event is co-hosted by the Centre for Faculty Development, the Wilson Centre, and the Centre for Interprofessional Education.

TIER Scholarship Opportunity: Dr. Daniel C. Andreae President Award
Apply by October 12 | 5:00 PM ET 

One Dr. Daniel C. Andreae President Award of $1500.00 will be awarded to a current UHN Research Trainee in an affiliated Graduate Program in good academic standing.

Trainees should send applications including a CV, unofficial transcripts and a one-page commentary paper addressing the broad issue of either the future of work in Canada OR the future of the healthcare professions to TIER@uhn.ca with the subject line Dr. Daniel C. Andreae President’s Award.

Ontario Rising Stars in Cancer Research is a pan-Ontarian student and trainee network that aims to highlight trainee research across the province, provide exposure to cutting-edge oncology innovations and novel training opportunities. Rising Stars is excited to launch a speaker series for trainees and by trainees to highlight cutting-edge research across Ontario.
