Congratulations to 2021 ORT Conference Grant awardee, Annie Jiang. Annie is a master's student in Dr. Chung-Wai Chow's research group at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute investigating the lung function of COVID-19 survivors using conventional and novel techniques. She presented her research at the 2021 American Thoracic Society International Conference.

The ORT invites all UHN trainees and Research Staff, including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research technicians and research associates, to complete the ORT Support and Wellness Survey!
This anonymous survey will help identify and assess factors affecting your well-being and quality of support and will inform interventions and policy changes to improve the research experience at UHN.

The Autism Scholars Awards 2022-2023

The Autism Scholars Awards Program was established with the support of the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to ensure that Ontario attracts and retains pre-eminent scholars studying autism. For the academic year 2022-23, the program offers one one-year award of $18,000 at the master’s level, and up to two one-year awards of $20,000 at the doctoral level. Anyone wishing to submit an application for an Autism Scholars Award must meet their University’s submission deadline of December 1, 2022

Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral Fellowships

Mitacs Elevate is a postdoctoral fellowship with an exclusive professional development curriculum component. Fellows will address complex challenges through a two-year research project with a partner organization in need of high-level expertise and a professional development curriculum that prepares Elevate fellows for success as leaders in research and industry.

The Rosie Mentoring Program

The Prosperity Project's Rosie Mentoring Program has been developed to address the limited access women have to role models and mentors. The Program is designed for women entering, upskilling or pivoting to careers in STEM, skilled trades and leadership. Mentors will guide and assist Protégées one-on-one as they develop their desired skills and abilities, and they will work together to define goals and develop strategies for reaching them. Protégée applications are open to individuals who identify as women, while Mentor applications are open to individuals of all genders.
