The Innovation Hub is launching a Design Thinking Experience Program for U of T staff & students. Design thinking and the qualitative research skills that accompany it are effective tools for reimagining on-campus services and programs. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about – and practice – designing with students and other stakeholder groups. Attend this info session to learn if this 10-week program is the right fit for you.

LSCDS Industry Team Case Study

The Life Sciences Career Development Society (LSCDS) is hosting an Industry Team Case Study (ITCS). Participants will collaborate with their team over a four-month period, with guidance from an industry advisor, to investigate a life science business or policy challenge and to propose a solution. Project topics may include market events, clinical data, regulatory and reimbursement filingsand approvals, or commercialization potential. After defining a compelling thesis and conducting in-depth research, you will present your deliverables in front of industry professionals and invited guests at the annual ITCS showcase.

GMCA: Business Fundamentals (formerly GMCA: mini-MBA) is a 10-week online course designed to provide graduate students and post-docs with an introduction to fundamental business concepts. Trainees will then apply concepts learned from the course directly to a business problem in a case competition judged by consultants and industry professionals! This is a great opportunity for trainees to collaboratively tackle real-life business challenges and receive constructive feedback from judges in the industry.

Canadian Institutes of Health Research: Summer Program in Aging

The Summer Program in Aging (SPA) aims to provide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows involved in aging research with a program of advanced training that crosses disciplines, sectors, institutions, and geography. The program will bring together approximately 40 research trainees and numerous academic mentors to participate in interactive learning sessions. The focus topic for SPA 2022 is Neurodegenerative and Cerebrovascular Diseases and it will be held virtually from May 9–20, 2022.
