Research Connections: Frontiers in Imaging

Join this SickKids Research Institute seminar featuring talks by SickKid's Dr. Olivier Villemain, MD, PhD; Division of Cardiology, and Dr. Farzad Khalvati, MASc, PhD; Endowed Chair in Medical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Villemain's talk on ultrafast ultrasound imaging will describe a new medical imaging technology and explain why the processing and analysis stages are key for its clinical use. Dr. Khalvati's talk on machine learning in clinical practice will cover some of the applications of Machine Learning (ML) in Medical Imaging, with examples of how ML and quantitative methods can help to deliver precision medicine.

GMCA: Business Fundamentals (formerly GMCA: mini-MBA) is a 10-week online course designed to provide graduate students and post-docs with an introduction to fundamental business concepts. Trainees will then apply concepts learned from the course directly to a business problem in a case competition judged by consultants and industry professionals! This is a great opportunity for trainees to collaboratively tackle real-life business challenges and receive constructive feedback from judges in the industry.
