COVID-19 UHN Open Forum

UHN Open Forums give a regular opportunity to come together as a community. Given the current situation regarding the Omicron variant, the Open Forum is convening to go over the changes that took place over the holidays, share information, and answer questions.

Temerty Centre Speaker Series: AI Deployment in Medicine

T-CAIREM kicks off the 2022 Speaker Series by sharing their lessons learned across the Artificial Intelligence (AI) development pipeline to ultimately get AI innovations to the patients that may benefit most from them. The three speakers, Drs. Adedinsewo, Berlin, and Liu, have developed and are working to deploy algorithms across cardiology, radiation oncology, and critical care and will share their experiences and insights.

FemSTEM 2022 Kickoff

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in Research and Innovation: Methodologies and Best Practices

Baycrest's Research Trainee Centre is hosting a session which will review considerations for EDI throughout the research development process. It will explore the historical ways in which research has done harm through discriminatory and oppressive means, and discuss ethical frameworks that consider issues of marginalization to ensure research serves a diverse and global world and does no harm.

Canadian Institutes of Health Research: Summer Program in Aging
Apply by January 26

The Summer Program in Aging (SPA) aims to provide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows involved in aging research with a program of advanced training that crosses disciplines, sectors, institutions, and geography. The program will bring together approximately 40 research trainees and numerous academic mentors to participate in interactive learning sessions. The focus topic for SPA 2022 is Neurodegenerative and Cerebrovascular Diseases and it will be held virtually from May 9–20, 2022.
