Congratulations to ORT Conference Award recipient, Mathew Voisin! 

Mathew Voisin is a PhD student in Dr. Gelareh Zadeh's lab at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre investigating the differences between primary and recurrent gliomas using a multi-omics approach. He presented his research at the 2021 Society for Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting.

Congratulations to ORT Conference Award recipient, Emily Ha!

Emily Ha is a PhD student in Drs. Andy Kin On Wong and Jennifer Brooks' labs at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute and University of Toronto, respectively. Emily’s research interests are in osteoarthritis, women’s health, and healthcare utilization, and her work identifies pathways that lead to musculoskeletal health outcomes in women.

Join us for a seminar on Increasing Sustainability in Research! In this webinar, two experts will share research and tips on how we can change our research practices to reduce waste and increase sustainability. Learn about:

  • Eco-friendly Radiation: Short-term Environment and Clinical Effects of Radiation Medicine Program's Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic (STEER COVID-19) by Ronald Cheung

L'Oreal Canada for Women in Science Research Excellence Fellowships
Apply by April 14 at 5:00 PM ET

The purpose of this fellowship program is to highlight the role of women in devising scientific solutions to problems confronting humankind in the 21st century. The program supports major research projects undertaken by Canadian women scientists at the postdoctoral level in Canada.

Up to two (2) postdoctoral fellowships will be awarded. These fellowships are valued at $20,000 CAD each, tenable for one academic year.

Science Communication Workshop for Graduate Students

Are you interested in strengthening your ability to communicate your science to the general public? 

ComSciCon is a series of workshops focused on enhancing communication skills and fostering an inclusive community that can effectively communicate scientific information to academic and non-academic audiences. Created in 2013 by graduate students at Harvard University and MIT, over 2000 graduate students have now benefited from learning the skills needed to communicate complex concepts within science, engineering and other technical fields to reach broader and more diverse audiences. ComSciCon has now come to Canada to empower the next generation of leaders in STEM fields across the country.
