April 21 | 12:00 - 1:00 PM

In recent decades, health researchers have been called to better integrate sex and gender considerations in their work. Transcending the male-female binary demands a mechanism-oriented and context-driven approach to experimentation. In addition, revisiting our practices of data visualization, statistical analysis, and scientific rhetoric can be valuable tools for expanding the ways that we conceptualize and operationalize sex and gender in the lab. In this session, Dr. Stacey Ritz will discuss how to integrate complex sex and gender considerations in research to advance health equity for all people.
