The UHN STEM Pathways team is looking for UHN trainees, staff and scientists who are interested in delivering educational opportunities to elementary and high school students. UHN volunteers will participate in outreach initiatives such as classroom visits, scientist panels, lab tours, mentorship and hands-on workshops. Events will be hosted during the coming school year in collaboration with various partners, including Toronto District School Board teachers, Let’s Talk Science, Science Rendezvous and the Toronto Public Library. Select volunteers will receive an honorarium to develop and facilitate programming. Learn more here or register here.

Congratulations to Mary Hynes for receiving The Wilfred George Scott Fellowship in Gerontology.
Mary is a Masters student in Dr. Arlene Astell's Dementia Ageing Technology Engagement (DATE) Lab at KITE, where she studies older adult self-efficacy and self-determination for health management.

Congratulations to Michael Singh on receiving an ORT Conference Participation Award!
Michael is a PhD Student at U of T in Dr. Alex Vitkin's lab located in the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. His research focuses on developing techniques for polarimetric detection of soft-tissue cancers.
