University of Toronto Early Stage Technology Program
The University of Toronto Early Stage Technology (UTEST) Program is an early-stage commercialization program for researchers, postdoctoral researchers, and trainees interested in translating their ideas into ventures. Running from June to December 2026, the program offers intensive educational programs, entrepreneurship training, business education, and hands-on support for venture development. Eligible teams may receive $10,000 in non-dilutive funding.

UHN Walk Safe and Call Safe Programs
UHN Security Operations offers two safety programs to protect staff, postdocs, students, and volunteers. The Walk-Safe program provides a security guard to escort individuals safely to and from UHN sites. The Call-Safe program offers hourly safety-check calls for individuals working alone or who feel they are in high-risk situations.

Congratulations, Yota Ohashi, on receiving an ORT Conference Participation Award!
Yota Ohashi is a graduate student in Dr. Naoto Hirano’s lab at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. His research focuses on advancing cancer immunotherapy, particularly through the development and optimization of adoptive cell therapies, such as CAR-T cells.
