Canada Impact+ Research Training Award Program Phase 2
To support the recruitment of top international research talent, the Government has launched the Canada Impact+ Research Training Award program. These awards provide doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships for eligible researchers who hold an active grant from one of the three federal research funding agencies. To nominate a doctoral candidate for the UHN awards, principal investigators must complete an expression of interest (EOI) form by May 11th, 2026. To nominate a postdoctoral researcher, please contact the Canada Leads team at canadaleadsuhn@uhn.ca.

The University of Toronto Early Stage Technology (UTEST) Program is an early-stage commercialization program for researchers, postdoctoral researchers, and trainees interested in translating their ideas into ventures. Lianna Montanari is a PhD student at the UHN Research Institutes, supervised by Dr. Jennifer Campos. Her research explores the relationship between hearing loss and fall risk in older adults, with the aim of supporting healthy aging through improved prevention and intervention strategies.
