Join the UHN Office of Research Trainees (ORT) and Evidence for Democracy (E4D), Canada’s leading voice for science, evidence-informed public policy, and transparent decision-making, on March 25, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 PM for an engaging and interactive online workshop titled Bridging Science and Policy: Tools for Effective Advocacy.
This session is designed to equip scientists and researchers with the knowledge and skills to become effective advocates for science. Participants will gain insight into the fundamentals of science policy, the role of evidence in policymaking, key principles of science advocacy, and strategies for engaging with elected officials. The workshop will include interactive group exercises and activities to help you put your skills into practice. Whether you are new to advocacy or looking to strengthen your existing skills, this session will provide valuable tools to help you make your voice heard and ensure science and evidence remain at the forefront of public decision-making.
