
Fundamentals of Biostatistics

Join the UHN Office of Research Trainees (ORT) and Katherine Lajkosz, Senior Biostatistician, from Biostatistics@UHN for a foundational webinar designed to build a strong understanding of essential statistical methods for conducting and interpreting biomedical research.
This one-hour session on August 20, 2025, will introduce participants to the fundamentals of biostatistical reasoning, covering key topics such as types of data, summary measures, and the basics of hypothesis testing. The workshop will emphasize selecting appropriate statistical tests based on study design and data characteristics.
By the end of the session, participants will be better equipped to apply statistical concepts in health-related research and critically evaluate scientific evidence.
