UHN Office of Research Trainees invites UHN scientists, staff, and trainees to an information session on April 9, 2026 from 12 – 1 PM to learn about opportunities for hiring and funding undergraduate co-op students through University of Waterloo.

Experts from University of Waterloo Co-operative and Experiential Education, Mitacs, and BioTalent SWPP will share information on:

  • Opportunities to hire specialized undergraduate co-op students full-time for 4 or 8 month positions
  • Information and timelines on hiring for the spring (May 11 -August 21) and fall (September 8-December 23) co-op cycles
  • Supports and services provided by the University of Waterloo Co-operative and Experiential Education team to connect you with top talent
  • How to leverage Mitacs and BioTalent SWPP funding opportunities to subsidize co-op positions
