COMMUNITY

Congratulations Fatemeh Mohabatpour on receiving the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute (TGHRI) Postdoctoral Research Award!
Dr. Fatemeh Mohabatpour is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Dr. Karoubi’s lab at TGHRI. Fatemeh is working on generating bioengineered tracheal grafts for transplantation using human-induced pluripotent stem cells-derived airway epithelial cells.

Every month UHN STEM Pathways recognizes the outreach work of our volunteers. For January we acknowledge the contributions of Shaghayegh (Shay) Chavoshian. Shay is a research trainee at KITE who has been an essential member of our outreach team. She has helped with both virtual and in-person programming, teaching youth about cardio-respiratory disease and engineering in healthcare. Shay has also become a key part of our lab tours, showing youth the ongoing research at KITE. We are grateful to have her on the team!
