University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Postdoctoral Fellow in the Neuropharmacology (Fundamental Neurobiology)
This Postdoctoral research position is available immediately in the neuropharmacology/neurobehavioural preclinical studies in Kotra Laboratory. The candidate is expected to have completed a PhD in neurosciences or related areas, and be experienced in various animal models. Expertise in neuronal cell cultures and mechanistic studies in vitro are an asset. The research project will deal with the evaluation of various CNS activating agents including cannabinoids in neurodegenerative and/or behavioural animal models, investigation of mechanisms in vivo and in vitro, and related investigations.
Qualifications:
- PhD awarded within past 5 years preferably in neuroscience or related areas
- Three (3) years or more related hands-on experience in vitro and in vivo models
- Excellent organizational and time management skill
