This position is available within Dr. Hansen He’s lab at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Dr. He’s lab is currently seeking two computational postdoctoral fellows/research associates to take lead of research projects in the field of prostate cancer genomics and epigenomics. The selected candidates will be expected to travel once or twice to visit the collaborator’s laboratory in P.R. China.
Qualifications:
- Background in next generation sequencing data (WGS, RNA-seq and DNA methyl-seq) integration
- Recent Ph.D in bioinformatics and related areas
- candidates with strong background in genomics. epigenetics, molecular/cancer biology and bioinformatics are encouraged to apply
- Strong programming skills (Python|Perl|C|C++|Java|R)
- Knowledge of prostate cancer biology is considered an asset
- Demonstrated excellent publication record of scientific achievement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong scientific writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrated record of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Self-motivated, independent and creative
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 (salary will be based on experience and performance)
