This position is available in the Laflamme lab located in the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine located at Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, part of University Health Network.  The lab is seeking an energetic, highly motivated fellow to lead a project investigating the transplantation of human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes as a novel therapy for ischemic heart disease.

Qualifications:

  • MD or PhD with a strong background in animal models of cardiac physiology
  • Advanced training in surgical techniques (especially in large-animal models) is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in human stem cell biology is preferred but not required.
