There are approximately 300 postdoctoral researchers at UHN—each of whom makes significant contributions to our outstanding research output and community. We value our postdoctoral researchers and are proud to host a series of initiatives during National Postdoc Appreciation Week, September 18–22, 2023, to appreciate and support them.

September 19 - UHN Postdoc Symposium
The UHN Postdoc Association and Office of Research Trainees, are excited to host the inaugural UHN Postdoc Symposium which will Celebrating Postdoc Excellence by:
- Celebrating the accomplishments of UHN postdocs and appreciating the important roles that postdocs play in our community.
- Providing opportunities for UHN postdocs to share their research and network with their peers.
- Facilitating community building through games and activities at the breaks, with opportunities to win prizes.
- Sharing insights from leading UHN experts on how technology can impact healthcare research.
September 21 - Princess Margaret Town Hall
Princess Margaret (PM) Cancer Centre is hosting a town hall for its postdoctoral researchers on September 21st at Princess Margaret Hospital. The town hall will be hosted by PM Research Director, Dr. Aaron Schimmer, and ORT Director, Dr. Linda Penn. This event is an opportunity to connect and discuss opportunities and challenges. Pizza lunch will be provided to PM postdoctoral researchers who register here.
September 18-22 - ORT Drop Ins
The Office of Research Trainees is hosting a series of drop in sessions at UHN Research sites during Postdoc Appreciation Week. These drop ins provide an opportunity for the ORT to meet postdoctoral researchers and students, answer any questions, share resources, and provide a safe space for addressing issues.
