  • Presenter: Dr. ‪Oro Uchenunu, Postdoctoral Researcher, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
  • Talk Topic: Defining the Role of GCN2 as an Adaptive Stress Response Kinase in Ovarian Cancer
  • Date: March 31st at 4:00 pm in TGH room 430, which is located in the Health Sciences Library at Toronto Genera Hospital. It is on the first floor past the Elliott elevators (follow floor signs from the University Ave entrance).

Speaker Bio

Dr. Oro Uchenunu completed his PhD studies at the Lady Davis Institute which is affiliated with McGill University, in the labs of Drs. Ivan Topisirovic and Michael Pollak investigating perturbations in energy metabolism to identify targetable metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer. Dr. Uchenunu is now a postdoctoral researcher in the Rottapel Lab at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. His current research includes the study of stress response pathways in ovarian cancer.
