Project and Time Management

The UHN Office of Research Trainees has partnered with Mitacs to bring you a two part workshop on Project and Time Management.

Part 1: An Introduction to Project and Time Management (1hr, 30 min)

This session will be facilitated by the ORT and is designed to provide learners with an introduction to Project and Time Management tools and strategies. The first 30 minutes of the session are mandatory and will be focused on:

  • Introducing the topic
  • Sharing tools and strategizes to help you improve your effectiveness and efficiency on the job and when working remotely
  • Showing you how to access the Mitacs Training Courses

The following 60 minutes is optional co-working time to support you while you complete the Mitacs self-paced eLearning module: Spur Up Your Project and Time Management Skills

Part 2: Project and Time Management in Action (2hrs)

This session will be facilitated by a Mitacs trainer and is designed to provide learners with the opportunity to practice delivering project status updates to their stakeholders. Learners will draft and present their updates to small groups and receive feedback from their peers. This session builds on the knowledge gained in Part 1 and through completion of the eLearning module.

  • *Note that you must attend and participate in Part 1 and complete the self-paced eLearning module to be eligible to attend Part 2.

Part 1 is free and open to everyone. Due to limited capacity, Part 2 is restricted to UHN graduate students and postdocs.
