Jessica Bytautas is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, performing research at KITE. Jessica’s doctoral research explores the ways in which ‘legacy activities’ support the relational nature of existential suffering and resist, reinforce, and revise prevailing norms regarding death and the goals of care at the end of life. Jessica’s doctoral research is supported by a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship. Jessica is also a recipient of a Research Training Award from the Canadian Cancer Society.

Current Position: Graduate student, Dr. Pia Kontos’ lab, KITE.
